French Impression - Arras, 1940
A.) Uniform Items
Helmet: French Adrian M1926 style in Khaki (or WWI style used with Green or Khaki Cover)
Side cap: French Khaki 1918 style
Capote: French single breasted or Double Breasted Overcoat in Khaki
Tunique: French single breasted tunic in Khaki 1920-1938 patterns
Pantalon: Khaki woolen trousers
Shirt: French Khaki style shirt with dark khaki tie or WWI French style collarless shirt
Leg Wraps: Khaki or leather leggings
Boots: Brown Hob Nail French Style Marching boot
B.) Field Gear Items
Web Gear: Brown WWI Leather wartime gear or 1938 Mle leather set with khaki wool cloth covered canteen WWI or WWII style, brown or green breadbags
Gas Mask Bag: ANP 31 Bag (Gas mask not required, but bag to be worn) Insignia: Only Insignia of documented French units who fought in vicinity of Arras shall be worn, or no insignia at all. Helmet badge shall be appropriate to your impression. (optional items but recommended)
Knap Sack: Wooden Framed WWI style or 1935 Pack
Haversack: 1935 Musette Side Bag
Mess Kit: WWI style or 1935 Style
Shelter Half: WWI or WWII styles acceptable
Entrenching Tool: WWI or WWII folding style (note all WWI French field implements are acceptable) Other Acceptable French Impressions:
Any French authentic impression of units who served in vicinity of Arras in 1940 are acceptable. For example Motorized Troop/Armor/Vehicle Impressions are authorized but must be authentic. Le Soldat Francais shows various uniforms of Motorized troop/Armor uniform combinations. Authenticity is the key. Approved Weapons: France entered the war with about every WWI era weapon that was still in the inventory. Bayonets with appropriate weapon is recommended. Weapons that are acceptable:
